St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance serves 13 of Arizona’s 15 counties. They work with over 900 partner agencies throughout the state serving a wide range of clients, the majority of those being families with children and seniors. Over 60 Million pounds of food are distributed each year. Every dollar donated provides enough for seven meals!  Kids Cafe program provides food to 39 sites during the year serving 401,420 meals to low-income children. The Community Kitchen is a 16 week foodservice training program for low-income adults, helping them break the cycle of poverty. For each dollar donated 96% goes directly to program support. Liberty Wildlife:

Liberty Wildlife rehabilitates native wildlife, which includes all species of animals originating in or migrating through Arizona. They also provide enviromental education, research and conservation services. Liberty Wildlife is finally realizing its dream of relocating to Papago Park in a stunning, state-of-the-art, sustainable building. This move will enable us to better serve the needs of Arizona’s wildlife as well as the needs of the community. While remaining autonomous, Liberty Wildlife is partnering with the Phoenix Zoo to create a regional conservation and nature center in Papago Park.

Our Education group visits classroom and civic event settings with non-releasable wildlife. Well-trained presenters teach about the natural history of each animal, and tell how each came to be at Liberty Wildlife.  We explain the pressures that humanity places on the desert. It is a strong message of conservation delivered under the glowing yellow eyes of a great horned owl……or in the presence of any of the Liberty education ambassadors.
