We are ready for you!
It’s just before midnight on Thursday, January 15, 2009 as I write this post. On Friday, January 16, 2009 at 10 am, our doors will open for our 19th Annual Celebration of Fine Art. The artists have been working like crazy to get their studios ready for you. When they arrive each year, they have 2 walls that are a blank canvas. They have 4 days to paint and build out whatever they want (with a few restrictions – for instance, no second stories!). They add light bars and carpet and whatever they need to showcase their art and create a work space that they will settle in to for the next 10 weeks. Then they begin hanging or displaying their works of art.
The creative energy fills the air. Between the hugs and greetings from fellow artists, strategic planning and focused work, the display area in the tent transforms into the most beautiful showcase for the talents of 100 artists that you’ve ever seen.
